After breakfast leave for Sigiriya, climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Sigiriya is a Cultural Buddhist site in central Sri Lanka, about 100 miles (161km) northeast of Colombo. The remains of an ancient royal fortress and city dating from 477AD stand on a vast rock, which rises 600ft (180m) above the surrounding plain.

King Kasyapa built it to safeguard against attack from his brother, Mogallana from whom he had stolen the throne after having killed their father. The only way into the city it through the massive carved jaws of a lion - the name Sigiriya is taken from 'giriya', meaning 'jaws and throat' and 'sinha' meaning 'lion'.

The site is one of the best-preserved cultural sites. It is also renowned for its 5th-century rock paintings and its magnificent, symmetrical water gardens.

After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa, it lies 216km northeast of

Colombo, 140kms northeast of Kandy and 104kms southeast of

Anuradhapura. The Island’s medieval capital (11th -12th Century AD) rose to fame after Anuradhapura’s decline. the largest of it’s many reservoirs, The Parakrama Samudra, is larger than the Colombo Harbor. Although it is 1000years old,it is much younger than Anuradhapura, and in much better renovate.

The Majestic King’s Council Chamber, the Lotus Bath, the Lanka Thilaka Viharaya, The Gal Viharaya (Rock Temple) and the Statue of one of Polonnaruwa’s great kings, Parakramabahu, are a few of this capital’s memorable sights.

After breakfast join for a safari to Minneriya National Park.

Minneriya Is considered one of the most scenic spots in the country. It is situated 20kms northwest of Polonnaruwa and 182kms from Colombo. Although comparatively small in size, Covering 8,889 hectares, it has a high degree of diversity. The park Encompasses the beautiful Minneriya tank, built by king Mahasena (274-301AD). Many small steams that converge at the reservoir feed the tank, this abundance of water attracts a variety of wild animals to the park.

After Breakfast leave for Kandy.en-route visit the Dabulla Rock Temple.

Temple.dabulla is the largest cave temple complex in South Asia.the Monastery was established in the 3rd century BC.Dambulla is best known For its rock temples and well preserved18th century paintings. Proceed towards Kandy.

Check in at Citadel Hotel/Mahaweli Reach hotel for Dinner and overnight.

Visit the Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts center and a Gem Museum and a lapidary. In the evening visit the Temple Of The Relic And thereafter witness a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancing.

Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan Kings, Which is a world Heritage site.The name Kandy conjures vision of splendor and Magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still Lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Shinhala King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798.

After breakfast leave for Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. The Garden was Built as a pleasure garden and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and has a amazing variety of trees, flowers and plants. This garden is one of the best of its kind in the world

Evening proceed to Colombo.

After breakfast do a City tour of Colombo, and shopiing…

Visit the Magestic city, Liberty plaza, House of Fashion for the ready-made garment. Shop for the Mlesna Tea exquisite. Visit the Lanka Ceramic center. View the old Parliament, The Residential areas and visit Fort Also do city shopping at Majestic Tea City shopping complex Crescat also ODEL Unlimited Dress Boutique.

After Lunch leave to Airport for departure.
